John Weiss letters, 1861-1870.

The collection consists of two handwritten letters: to Mr Brooks, 5 Sept. 1861, quoting a short selection of German verse and asking for identification of the passage, specifically if it is from Lessing. Also, to Mrs. Fields, 11 Feb. (no year) accepting an invitation to hear James lecture upon Emerson.
